Small electrodes placed on the skin measure how quickly and effectively electrical signals travel along your nerves. Mildly uncomfortable, not painful.
A thin needle electrode is inserted into specific muscles to assess their electrical activity at rest and during gentle contraction. Helps identify muscle and nerve abnormalities.
The specialist physician interprets your findings and prepares a detailed consultation note sent directly to your referring physician.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Avoid applying lotions or oils to your skin. Bring your health card and a list of medications. Arrive 10 minutes early.
This is a referral-only practice. Appointments are arranged through your referring physician. Please bring your health card (OHIP) to your appointment.
